Video to Watch: Kapuso Christmas Station ID 2010 - "Isang Pagkilala sa Puso ng Pilipino Ngayong Pasko"

GMA-7 launches its Christmas Station ID for 2010 titled, "Isang Pagkilala sa Puso ng Pilipino Ngayong Pasko," a series of true-to-life inspiring stories. Meaning, there are three different GMA-7 Christmas Station IDs.

GMA-7's Christmas Station ID 2010 tell the real-life tales of Filipinos who, by sharing what they can, have made a difference in the lives of many. Starring in the vignettes are three of GMA-7's biggest Kapuso stars: Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera and Richard Gutierrez.

Richard Gutierrez plays Ed, a US immigrant based in Las Vegas, Nevada, whose heart remains very Filipino. With his wife, he personally packs balikbayan boxes with toys and school supplies and ships these at Christmas time to children in different provinces.

Marian Rivera portrays Mila, a woman who literally opens her home to the less fortunate. Mila welcomes the Season of Advent by selling Christmas decors in her garage. She uses the money she earns to prepare food and feed more than 200 families on New Years Eve.

Dingdong Dantes is cast as Jose, a modern day Christmas angel. Jose spends Christmas Eve going to different hospitals in Metro Manila, paying the bills of indigent patients unable to afford treatment. When the surprised families of these patients ask to thank him in person, they are told by hospital staffers that Jose has already left.

Shot in high-definition (HD) digital video technology, "Isang Pagkilala sa Puso ng Pilipino Ngayong Pasko," the 2010 GMA-7 Christmas ID is also slated to be shown in SM Cinemas.

TV Patrol World Update: Julius Babao and Karen Davila Out. Noli de Castro and Korina Sanchez In!

There will be some major major changes in the news department of ABS-CBN after the exit of Maria Ressa. The first casualty? TV Patrol World.

The news and current affairs bosses have talked to Julius Babao and Karen Davila that certain reformats will be made in TV Patrol and that certain personalities will be put in their place. Although they havent been directly assured, the evening slots of Bandila have been reserved for them.

So who are likely to go back to primetime news?

Since the old guards are back, it wont be hard to understand the return of broadcasters-on-extended leaves Noli de Castro and Korina Sanchez to be back to work along with fellow old guard Ted Failon.

Although Kapamilyas may deny this but the move may be the networks reaction to Willie Revillames showwhich is fast closing in on TV Patrols ratings.

How will this impact on Julius and Karens careers? Oh well, they must have felt earlier on that they will be the sacrificial lambs in this whole circus. After all, ratings result is god in the television industry. But dont you think they deserve better?

GLEE Season 2 'Rocky Horror Glee Show' Recap

The Glee kids are still minus Puck, but this week, things get horrific. Will is growing more and more jealous of Emma and Carl and their close relationship so he does what any lovestruck guy would do. He tries to make himself more appealing. Seeing that Emma and Carl have bonded over their love of Rocky Horror, he fibs that hes been planning the school musical to be a production of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. Rachel volunteers herself and Finn to be Brad and Janet but Finn has never seen the show. He has no idea he has to be in his underwear and hes insecure about his body. Aww :( .

Kurt refuses to be the transvestite Frank n Furter (lulz) and opts to take on Riff Raff instead, while the girls share the other parts. Sam willingly takes on the part of Rocky so hes able to once again spend the majority of the episode shirtless. Im not entirely complaining. Local news managers encourage Sue to do an expose about the musicals inappropriate nature and she gets her hands dirty pretending to help out. Seeing that the group doesnt have Frank n Furter, Carl offers to help. Will insists he auditions for the part and he gives my favorite performance of the night. John Stamos is HOT yall. Santana is practically pouncing on him during his number. Not willing to rock the fishnets, Mercedes takes the role of Frank n Furter and Carl gets Eddie. Anyone else a bit depressed at the tease of John Stamos performing in drag? :(

Will becomes frustrated at how well Carl is doing and asks Emma to be costume designer so he can spend more time with her. If that isnt enough, when Sam is uncomfortable in the teeny tiny gold shorts, Will decides to take the part of Rocky for himself. Yuck. He asks Emma to help him rehearse and they perform an incredibly awkward version of Touch a Touch a Touch Me. Its creeptastic and kind of gross. Why hasnt Will been fired yet? Carl confronts Will about him making moves on Emma and Will is forced to admit he is doing Rocky Horror for himself and not the kids. Worried he may be risking being allowed to have Glee Club at all, he cancels the musical and the kids perform Time Warp for themselves.

With new programming and offerings introduced since January 2010, Studio 23's audience share has grown to 5% from its average of 1.8% in January 2010.

Studio 23 Head March Ventosa attributed Studio 23's impressive performance to its latest offerings of movies during lunch and early primetime, Koreanovelas, animes, Top Rank boxing matches, WWE Superstars, UFC and UAAP/NCAA games.

"We have been innovating. Since the start of the year weve actually introduced a series of TV programming initiatives and we are proud to say that these initiatives have actually been very successful for us. The audience reception has been very positive and we are proud to say that we now rank fourth overall in the market," said Studio 23 Head March Ventosa in a recent press conference.

Studio 23s success in programming and growth in audience shares prompted it to innovate and introduce more new programs starting Oct 4.

Mornings on Studio 23 begin with a strong news and current affairs line-up to keep viewers informed of the latest happenings through the free TV telecast of DZMM TeleRadyos Radyo Patrol Balita Alas-Siete with Ted Failon and Dos Por Dos with Anthony Taberna and Gerry Baja from 7 am to 8:30 am.

In its first week of airing, Anthony scored a coup with a one-on-one live interview with Executive Secretary Jojo Ochoa. Taberna also tackled the controversial reproductive health bill by interviewing parents of big families to help ordinary viewers understand and make sense of the issue.

Kabarkadas will also get to watch a primetime replay of the hit crime docu-drama SOCO anchored by Gus Abelgas every Tuesday at 9:30 PM and the explosive investigative reports of Julius Babao, Pinky Webb, and Anthony Taberna in XXX every Thursday at 9:30 PM.

Jericho Rosales, Singer-Songwriter

After winning the Song of The Year Award in the recent Star Awards for Music, Jericho Rosales excitedly revealed that Star Records already have plans of creating a new album for him next year. "Jonathan Manalo of Star Records approached me and then he said, Echo, hows your songwriting? I said, Yes, I write all the time. Because in your next album we want to promote you as a singer-songwriter so well have more originals. So sabi ko, Game! Lets do this. So tuloy-tuloy lang yung rehearsal. I have my singing career and at the same time acting which for me is the best of worlds," stated Jericho whos also busy taping Green Rose opposite Anne Curtis.

Fresh from his successful gig in General Santos City, Jericho further shared that hes really grateful to be given the chance to make the most out of his musical career. "Weve been getting calls din and the office (Manila Genesis Entertainment & Management Inc.) is just as excited as I am kasi ang daming ideas na lumalabas. Were planning to mount a bar tour the last quarter of this year in preparation for a concert next year. Im just so excited kasi sabi nila Tita Angeli (Pangilinan-Valenciano, his manager), O Echo you got to have a concert. Sabi ko, Oh my God! Kasi I was just watching my last concert sa DVC and I was like, I want to do it again kasi ang dami kong corrections. Alam mo yung parang ayaw mong panoorin sarili mo kasi naiinis ka kasi you want to do better next time? So nanggigil ako lalo," he admitted with a laugh.

In the meantime, Jericho still refused to talk about his break-up with Entertainment Live host/SNN reporter Cesca Litton. He doesnt give any hints even in his Twitter account where his posts are mainly inspired by the exciting happenings in his life. Asked if he had written about Cesca in any of his personal compositions, Jericho was honest enough to say that theres none at the moment. If theres anything he would like to write about though, he simply stated, "It will be a song about happiness and gratitude."

TV5 Launches a Different Kind of Teleserye, 'My Driver Sweet Lover' (My DSL)

Building on success after success as it revolutionizes Philippine TV through game-changing programming, TV5 now launches its first-ever daily series, My Driver Sweet Lovers tarting this Monday, October 25, at 10pm. With a unique formula of romance, comedy and light drama, TV5s first kilig-serye is top-billed by JC de Vera, Danita Paner and Arci Muoz with the countrys biggest stars like Richard Gomez, Eric Quizon, Keempee de Leon, Eddie Gutierrez, Nova Villa, Pilita Corrales and Dina Bonnevie.

Perci Intalan, TV5 Head of Creative and Entertainment Production, relates the networks anticipation on its latest venture, "Finally, were geared up to break with tradition by offering a new twist on typical drama. We trust that were in the right direction because weve got a great story to tell, and powerhouse cast and crew buckled up to perfect the ride. TV5 has started winning weekends. Now were making weeknights more exciting."

Rocky (JC de Vera) is a jeepney driver whose charm and street smart background often leave all the girls hooked, except for his usual enemy, Gabrielle (Danita Paner), a cranky and workaholic hotel heiress. The history of fighting cat and dog began in an orphanagea young Rocky was abandoned by his father; while Gabrielle was an obese, lost squire who was brought there after an attempted kidnap to steal her inheritance. But when Gabrielle was accidentally reunited with her family, the two had lost contact until they crossed paths at present. Separated by fate, their gap grows wider through an intense dislike and a yawning divide brought by class and money. The cunning Monique (Arci Muoz) makes Gabrielles life even more difficult as she pulls everything to steal Rocky from her.

This much-awaited kilig-serye is led by a stellar cast of the most bankable artists of their generation, including the countrys finest actors: Mr. Richard Gomez as Delfin, a wealthy businessman whose past brings his son back to memory; Mr. Eric Quizon as Aaron Barrinuevo, Gabrielle's father; and Ms. Dina Bonnevie as Araceli, Gabrielles stepmother who subtly yearns for Aaron's fortunes.

My Driver Sweet Lover (or My DSL as the cast fondly call it) is made even glitzier with Philippine entertainments veteran actors such as Mr. Eddie Gutierrez as Lolo George, the jeepney driver who adopted Rocky; Ms. Pilita Corrales as Abuela Maxi, the very rich but oblivious matriarch of the Barrinuevos; and Ms. Nova Villa as Aling Virgie, the snooty landlady who tries hard to gain her social status. The two classic grannies will rival each other to win the heart of groovy Lolo George.

Also in the series are the best combination of household comedy; Epi Quizon as Jimrod, the over-strict head butler of the Barrinuevo mansion; Yayo Aguila as Yaya Auring, a devoted helper in the mansion, Ruby Rodriguez as Yaya Tabs, Gabrielles nursemaid; and Keempee de Leon as Von, Gabrielles best friend. It also stars Tom Rodriguez as Simon, Gabrielles new item and manager to one of the Barrinuevos resorts.

Completing the all-star cast are some of todays young stars including Carla Humphries as Colleen, BJ Forbes as Bert Ngisi, Meg Imperial as Millet, Chris Pasturan as Asyong Afro, Alyanna Asistio as Andrea, JR de Guzman as Ned, Cai Cortez as Mini, Kristel Goodwin as France, and Ramon Christopher as Mang Tisoy.

My DSL is helmed by directors Eric Quizon and Soxie Topacio, with a top-notch production headed by Edlyn Tallada-Abuel as Production Unit Manager and Elmer Gatchalian as creative consultant.

Will Rocky and Gabrielle rediscover each other before he falls for Moniques trap? Join the most kilig ride on TV in My Driver Sweet Lover, starting on October 25, Mondays to Fridays, 10pm on TV5.
