Judy Ann Santos Covers Preview Magazine October 2009 Issue

Judy Ann Santos is one of the few famous faces to have graced the cover of Preview magazine for the fourth time. Thrilled to be doing something different from the usual studio shoot, the actress tells with excitement, "It's really exciting. Every Preview shoot that I have, they really give me something new."

Even more exciting is the chance every reader has of winning what Judy Ann is wearing on the cover (click here to join the promo).

The challenging shoot with photographer Paolo Pineda required Judy Ann to pose and walk around wildly growing talahib at Nuvali in Laguna, which she referred to as revisiting her "Ula" days.


Judy Ann never complained about the heat or the location, even as she was required to walk back and forth across the tall kogon grass many times. Perhaps that gorgeous pair of boots helped, for the actress laughed and smiled throughout the shoot.


It's a good thing that she was clad in layers of chic knitwear, as one shot also had Judy Ann reclining on the grass in an idyllic pose.


Asked about her favorite piece from the bohemian rock-themed shoot, which featured trendy label Mango's F/W 2009 collection, Judy Ann replied that she was partial to the plaid and checkered pieces, although she wouldn't mind bringing the fur vest and dresses when she travels abroad.

Young superstar Judy Ann Santos is on the cover of Metro Magazine in two different look.

Juday (as she fondly called in showbiz) graces the magazine�s April 2009 coverspread in celebration of her 20th Anniversary in Philippine Showbiz.

Meanwhile, Juday is currently in the midst of her wedding preparations with real-life sweetheart Ryan Agoncillo said to be held sometime in May despite the announcement that it will be moved to a different date.

Juday and Ryan are also starring together in a new ABS-CBN sitcom, "George and Cecil." The supporting cast includes Archie Alemania, Dimples Romana, Manuel Chua of Pinoy Fear Factor, Ynna Asistio (daughter of Nadia Montenegro), Gladys Reyes and Christopher Roxas. George and Cecil will air last week of April on a Sunday night timeslot.

Juday is also busy shooting her movie opposite Ogie Alcasid titled "OMG (Oh My Girl)" directed by her director-friend Dante Nico Garcia.

Real-life sweetheart Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo will star in a new TV sitcom ala-John and Marsha titled "Rocky and Cecil".

Juday will play a policewoman named Rocky and Ryan as a teacher named Cecillio.

Joining them are Tessie Tomas and Dino Imperial and will be directed by Jose Javier Reyes.

Rocky and Cecil will hit your TV screen soon from ABS-CBN.

Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo's Wedding Set on May 4

Ryan Agoncillo willingly answered all questions thrown to him by the press during the presscon of TV-5 for Talentadong Pinoy last January 29. Some of the things that were discussed pertains to his personal life.

Ryan told the press that he and Judy Ann Santos are currently looking for a house in the south area and is about to close a deal to their chosen home with four to five bedrooms, of course, one of which is for their daughter Yohan.

Ryan also gave some details on their upcoming wedding. According to Ryan, there will only be two sets of Ninong and Ninang. The megastar who is also Judy Ann's sister in showbusiness Sharon Cuneta will be the matron of honor and Ryan�s brother Dondi will be the best man. Paul Cabral will be in-charge of Judy Ann's wedding gown and so the whole wedding entourage.

Although he was hesitant to announce the wedding date, a source very close to the couple revealed that a very private wedding will take place on May 4 this year and there will be no TV coverage of the event will be allowed since they want everything to be private and solemn.

Judy Ann Santos Signs a 2-Year Contract Deal with ABS-CBN 2

Judy Ann �Juday� Santos has put a stop to speculations that she�s jumping ober da bakod from ABS-CBN 2 to GMA-7 by renewing her contract to two more years, from July 2009 when her current contract expires to July 2011.

�It�s good to be home,� said Juday as if she ever left �home,� even as she admitted that there were problems, adding, �pero wala namang problemang hindi naaayos sa magkaka-pamilya.�

Aside from her soap Humingi Ako Sa Langit, other projects lined up for her include a teleserye with boyfriend Ryan Agoncillo, a cooking show and a drama anthology.

Alfie Lorenzo: "Hindi naman ako pulubi nang madampot ni Juday. Siya ang pulubi nang madampot ko."

Nagpa-interview na ang talent manager at entertainment columnist na si Alfie Lorenzo sa Startalk na ipinalabas kahapon, October 18. Ito ay kaugnay sa isyu ng hindi nila pag-uusap at pagkakasundo ng alaga niya for 20 years na si Judy Ann Santos.

May kaugnayan ito sa hindi pa pagre-renew at pagpirma ni Judy Ann ng kontrata sa ABS-CBN. Kailangan pa raw kasi ng aktres na ikonsulta sa kanyang lawyer ang naturang kontrata. Isang bagay, na ayon kay Alfie, ay hindi naman naganap sa mahabang taon ng pagiging talent-manager nila.

"Naiinis lang kasi after 20 years, ngayon lang siya nagkonsulta sa abogado," himutok ni Alfie. "E, naaalala ko nga, that time na mag-asawa siya at mabuntis siya, wala na siyang offer, wala na siyang trabaho. Inaalagaan ko lang ang future nila. The same way na bata pa lang �yan, inaalagaan ko na, hanggang sa pag-aasawa. Siyempre, wala naman akong tutol sa kanila ni Ryan and, in fact, I appreciate Ryan's gesture na hindi naman siya nakikialam sa career ni Juday."

Ayon kay Alfie, nakakuha naman daw siya ng better deal sa mother studio ni Juday by drawing a contract deal until 2011. Kasama rin daw na mabibiyayaan sa bagong kontrata ni Judy Ann si Ryan.

"May guarantee siya na kung mag-aaaral nga siya [Judy Ann] sa States ng Culinary Arts, may allowance siya. Kung halimbawa magtanan siya, magpakasal, mabuntis siya, may allowance siya. So I signed it at sabi ko, papirmahan n'yo na kay Juday.

"The whole day of Wednesday [October 8], wala siyang gagawin noon, victory party ng Kulam. After that, siguro mga two o' clock or three �o clock, puwede na siyang tumawid sa ABS, di ba? E, tumawag sa akin ang executive ng Dos na humihingi nga raw ng kopya [si Juday]. So, ni-meet nila si Juday. Sabi, �Bigyan n'yo ako ng kopya at ipakikita ko sa abogado ko,'" lahad ni Alfie.

Sa pagkakataong ito ay hindi na napigilan ni Alfie na ipaalala kay Juday ang kanyang pinagmulan. Maging ang mga hirap daw niya sa struggling years ni Juday ay nabanggit din ni Alfie.

"Wala pa naman si Judy Ann, nagsusugal na ako. Hindi naman ako pulubi nang madampot ni Juday. Siya ang pulubi nang madampot ko. Ngayon, she's a billionaire! Alalahanin na lang ni Juday yung 20 years na nakapila pa sila sa Cubao, na nagdyi-jeep lang. Hanggang sa naihanap ko sila ng apartment na ako pa rin minsan ang nag-aabono. Yung first van niya, ako pa rin ang nag-down no'n," pahayag ng talent manager.

Dagdag niya, hindi naman daw kabawasan sa kanya bilang talent manager kung mamuhay na nang tahimik si Juday sa piling ni Ryan. Nasabi na nga lang nito, "Well, I hope they become the first couple that will not separate in showbiz. Good luck!"

Dugtong pa niya, "Okay lang naman sa akin. Hindi naman ako na-devastate noong lahat sila... Nag-asawa si Sheryl Cruz, nag-asawa si Jackie Forster, nag-asawa si Ruffa Gutierrez, nag-asawa si Sunshine Cruz, okey lang yun, di ba? Marami pa namang matutuklasang talents. Stars come and go.

"Talagang ang mga artistang babae kapag..." biglang na-bleep ang word ni Alfie. "Wala na...nawawala sila sa katinuan nila. Bahala na siya kung gusto pa niya ako or ang attorney niya."

Sa bandang huli, umaasa pa rin naman si Alfie na magkakaayos din sila ni Juday.

"Maaayos din naman yun... Dyusko!" sambit niya.

Nakausap din ng Startalk si Judy Ann at nagalit daw ito nang malaman ang isyu. Hindi naman daw sila nag-aaway ng kanyang manager. Nais muna ni Juday na magkausap sila para malinaw ang isyu. Ang hiling lang niya, sana raw ang ang pag-uusap nila ay maging pribado at huwag nang lumabas pa.
