Maricel Soriano Named Preview Magazine's Best Dressed for 2009

The Diamond Star Maricel Soriano made it to this year�s list of Preview Magazine�s Best Dressed Women.

Maricel Soriano could not believe that she�s one of Preview�s Best Dressed Women for 2009. She said she�s skeptical at first and thought that it might be a joke. After finding herself in a pictorial together with the other best dressed women, Maricel expressed her joy in working with the girls.

"My golly, ang sarap to work with them because they are all bubbly and they really made me feel special." Maricel said in an interview.

Other women who made it in Preview Magazine�s 2009 Best Dressed List include Alex Suarez, fashion model Bea Soriano, real estate heiress Divine Lee, Thai model and veejay Paula Taylor, Kai Lim, and choreographer Georcell Dapat.

Last year�s best dressed women were Angel Aquino, Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, Isabelle Daza, Katrina Lobregat, Ria Bolivar, Solenn Heuseff, Mai Kauffman, Crystal Osamis, Joyce Ore�a and Anna Angara.

Maricel Soriano Topbills Star Cinema's Horror Movie "T2"

Maricel Soriano topbills Star Cinema's third movie offering this year - a horror movie titled "T2" or Tenement 2.

In the tradition of horror films such as Feng Shui and Sukob, Star Cinema finally brings back the box-office director of horror movies, Mr. Chito Ro�o in his next horror movie project in the said film outfit.

The story is about a young girl (played by Mika dela Cruz) who lost her parents and then meets Claire (Maricel Soriano), a volunteer worker in an NGO for orphans. She is assigned to take Mica to some living relatives. She�s married to Derek Ramsay.

T2 also stars Tetchie Agbayani, Camille Prats, Kai Brosas (as their neighbors in the tenement) and Eric Fructuoso (as Maricel�s driver).

According to Chito Ro�o, T2 is his most expensive horror film yet because of special effects. The last 11 minutes are all CGI set in the other world.

According to reports, John Lloyd Cruz and Malaysian actress Carmen Soo will have cameo roles in the movie.

Tenement 2 is Maricel Soriano�s 5th film with director Chito Ro�o and will hit theaters nationwide on April 11, 2009.

Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks in ABS-CBN�s Your Song Presents: Underage

ABS-CBN's Sunday youth drama "Your Song Presents" will again feature the love tandem of Matt Evans and Melissa Ricks in the remake of the 80�s movie Underage.

Matt and Melissa said that they will be taking on more mature roles in their new drama mini-series. However, they clarified that the TV version will not be as sexy as the original film. "This is different. Magpapakita kami ng konting skin. This is another step na naman. Kung baga inuunti unti na namin �yung paggawa ng more mature roles. We�re not kids anymore na rin. Yes, we�re still teenagers but we�re going into the transition of becoming adults na. May ilang sensitive scenes dito kaya �yun ang pinaghahandaan namin," said Melissa.

Underage will be the initial offering of Your Song Presents on their new and re-package theme genre - the adaptation of some well loved Pinoy flicks from the 80�s.

Underage was released by Regal Films in 1980 and became the launching movie then teen sensations Dina Bonnevie, Snooky Serna, and Maricel Soriano. Melissa will be playing the role done by Dina in the movie, "Malaki ang pressure. I�ll be playing the role done by Dina Bonnevie so I really have to get to know the character. It�s very challenging. Pero excited din kami lahat because we get to give Underage a different a twist dito sa gagawin namin."

The Diamond Star Maricel Soriano will make a big comeback in primetime TV via 'Florinda' ,the upcoming and last chapter of Sineserye Presents: The The Susan Roces Cinema Collection.

Keeping the tradition of horror and showcases of high caliber performances, followers of Sineserye Presents: The Susan Roces Cinema Collection can expect Florinda to be a terrifying and spine-tingling experience.

Also in the cast are Roxanne Guinoo as Rachelle, Zanjoe Marudo as Archie, Jay Manalo as Mateo, Cherry Pie Picache as Criselda, William Martinez as Jorge, and Nikki Gil as Mara.

Florinda is directed by Rahyan Carlos and will starts airing on February 23 only on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
