Best Friends Forever (BFF) is Philippines' Second Highest Grossing Film of 2009

Star Cinema�s Best Friends Forever (BFF), starring the Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas and the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, raked in P97.8 million at the box-office in 3 weeks, making it the second highest grossing Pinoy film of 2009.

According to Box Office Mojo, Best Friend Forever debuted at no. 2 on its weekend opening of May 13 to 17, 2009 with P44 million haul at the local box-office. The no. 1 movie in the country that time was Angels and Demons.

On its second week, Best Friends Forever (BFF) almost doubled its first weekend gross as it hit P82 million. Angels and Demons still ruled local box-office at that time while Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian debuted at no. 2.

Star Cinema premiered the full trailer of Best Friends Forever (BFF) on Sunday, April 26.

Best Friends Forever (BFF) is topbilled by the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and the Box-office Concert Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas. Also starring in BFF are Empress Schuck, Gina Pare�o, Enchong Dee, Chokoleit, AJ Perez, Miles Ocampo, Nash Aguas, Joy Viado, DJ Durano and John Estrada.

Directed by Wenn Deramas for Star Cinema, the film arrives in theaters on May 13, 2009.

Best Friends Forever (BFF) - Trailer 2

Check out the second teaser released by Star Cinema for the upcoming comedy movie Best Friends Forever (BFF).

Best Friends Forever (BFF) is the 16th year anniversary presentation of Star Cinema starring the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and the Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas.

Sharon and Ai Ai will be playing as best friends in this comedy film helmed by box-office director Wenn Deramas of Tanging Ina and Ang Tanging Ina N�yong Lahat.

Included in the cast are John Estrada, Candy Pangilinan and Chokoleit.

Best Friends Forever is set to hit theaters on May 13, 2009.

Here are Star Cinema's line-up of upcoming movies for 2009:

1. And I Love You So - starring Bea Alonzo, Derek Ramsay, and Sam Milby. Under the direction of Lauren Dyogi.

2. In My Life - starring Vilma Santos, John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano. 90% of the movie will be shoot in New York, USA.

3. Best Friends Forever (BFF) - starring Sharon Cuneta and Ai-Ai delas Alas. Cast includes John Estrada, Rubi-Rubi, and Chokoleit. Directed by Wenn Deramas.

4. A movie starring Former President Joseph Estrada and Ai-Ai delas Alas. The script is still for Erap's approval.

5. Love in Heaven - first movie teamup of Aga Muhlach and Angel Locsin and will be directed by Cathy Garcia Molina.

6. A romantic comedy film starring the wacky tandem of Toni Gonzaga and Vhong Navarro. Plus Sarah Geronimo and Rayver Cruz (this will be their first movie together as a loveteam).

7. A movie starring Sarah Geronimo and Gerald Anderson.

8. The third installment of Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz movie 'A Very Special Love'. This time with Akihiro Sato as the third wheel.

9. Estrella - horror-suspense movie starring Jake Cuenca, Geoff Eigenmann, and Maja Salvador. Directed by Rico Ilarde.


10. A "Tanging Yaman" type of movie starring Lorna Tolentino and Zaijian Jaramilla of "May Bukas Pa".

11. An untitled movie for Willie Revillame and Kris Aquino.
