It's Final! Angel Locsin Will Play Sharon Cuneta's Daughter in "Mano Po 6: My Mother"

Angel Locsin will be finally playing as Sharon Cuneta's daughter in Regal Film's 2009 MMFF entry "Mano Po 6: My Mother".

Malou Santos of Star Cinema in which Angel is an exclusive contract star gave her blessing to the surprise deal. Angel Locsin still has to fulfill her exclusive eight-picture contract in entirety with Lily Monteverde�s Regal Films.

Carla Abellana is Sharon Cuneta's Daughter in Mano Po 6

After the much talk-about "walang utang na loob" brouhaha between Mother Lily Monteverde and Angel Locsin, finally, the Regal matriarch announces the final choice to play Sharon Cuneta's daughter in Mano Po 6. She is but no other than the latest addition to her Regal Babies - Carla Abellana.

The role was first offered to Angel Locsin but she declined the role since due to some previous commitments with her home network ABS-CBN and its film arm Star Cinema. Second choice was Kim Chiu but the Kapamilya young actress has already a movie entry in the upcoming MMFF titled "I Love You� Goodbye" starring Gabby Concepcion, Derek Ramsey and Angelica Panganiban.

Mano Po 6 will be Carla's baptism of fire as far as movie project is concern. She is indeed lucky to have the Megastar as her co-star on her first film project.

Carla became famous through her GMA-7 hit telenovela Rosalinda.

Mano Po 6 is scheduled to hit the theaters on Christmas Day as one of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) movie entries and to be directed by Joel Lamangan.

Best Friends Forever (BFF) is Philippines' Second Highest Grossing Film of 2009

Star Cinema�s Best Friends Forever (BFF), starring the Comedy Concert Queen Ai Ai delas Alas and the Megastar Sharon Cuneta, raked in P97.8 million at the box-office in 3 weeks, making it the second highest grossing Pinoy film of 2009.

According to Box Office Mojo, Best Friend Forever debuted at no. 2 on its weekend opening of May 13 to 17, 2009 with P44 million haul at the local box-office. The no. 1 movie in the country that time was Angels and Demons.

On its second week, Best Friends Forever (BFF) almost doubled its first weekend gross as it hit P82 million. Angels and Demons still ruled local box-office at that time while Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian debuted at no. 2.

Sharon Cuneta Launched Latest Album Called "Children's Rhymes & Lullabies"

Before she left the country for her international concert with her daughter KC Concepcion, the Megastar Sharon Cuneta launched her recent album under Sony Music Entertainment titled "Children's Rhymes & Lullabies".

"This project is very close to my heart," says Sharon. "With the help of my husband, Kiko, we cooked-up the idea after a personal encounter with such need for our very own kids�Frankie and Miel. The idea of this album stemmed from a need to find both Tagalog and English songs for our children. Marami kaming English songs for the children, pero wala kaming makitang children songs in Pilipino. Naisip naming gawin ito dahil marami tayong Filipino parents scattered all over the world whose children hadn't heart of, let alone grown up with songs for them, from their homeland, that we had to make this collection."

The result was an extensive and intensive planning for the repertoire of the album.

Children's Rhymes & Lullabies were divided into six activities that children often do in the course of his day:

Kiko Pangilinan to Run for Vice Presidential Post in 2010 Election

During this afternoon's presscon of her latest movie with Star Cinema titled BFF (Best Friends Forever) opposite Ai-Ai delas Alas, the Megastar Sharon Cuneta confirms that her husband Senator Francis 'Kiko' Pangilinan will run for Vice Presidential post in next year's national election.

Sharon declared, "Yes, as Vice President. It makes me very scared but excited for him at the same time."

Despite numerous question from the press, Sharon keep mum on his husband's other future political plans.

Best Friends Forever (BFF) is the 16th year anniversary presentation of Star Cinema starring the Megastar Sharon Cuneta and the Comedy Queen Ai Ai delas Alas.

Sharon and Ai Ai will be playing as best friends in this comedy film helmed by box-office director Wenn Deramas of Tanging Ina and Ang Tanging Ina N�yong Lahat.

Included in the cast are John Estrada, Candy Pangilinan and Chokoleit.

Best Friends Forever is set to hit theaters on May 13, 2009.

KC Concepcion Performs on Sharon's 'Songs of My Heart' Birthday Celebration

If she can fly in 2008, why can't she slide, roll, and dance on the swing this time?

Yes, KC Concepcion once again did an incredible performance as part of her yearly birthday gift to her mom Sharon Cuneta.

It was in Sharon's Mega Birthday celebration last year when KC first showed us what she can do for her mom and her fans. As a birthday gift, KC did an acrobatic ala- "fly me to the moon" dance number which made Sharon really worried saying "ibaba nyo ang anak ko!" This year, as highlight to Sharon's birthday celebration titled 'Songs of My Heart', KC once again mesmerized Araneta with her "merry-go-round" on the swing performance to the tune of Rihanna's 'Disturbia'.

After watching (ho-hum!) both Anne Curtis and Sam Milby's much publicized break-up at the Buzz (on a separate occassion), the love triangle between them and KC Concepcion is now getting hotter, bigger, and more interesting. Why? Because Sharon Cuneta, KC's mega mom, is now part of this brouhaha.

According to showbizjuice.com, Sharon can't contain her anger when she learned that Anne continuous to badmouth KC about stealing her boyfriend Sam. Sharon furiously said, "Huwag niyang idamay and anak ko sa problema niya kay Sam, kung hinde ako ang makakalaban niya.

Kung sakaling ligawan ni Sam ang anak ko, kasalanan ba niya 'yun?!!!"
