Redmond O'Neal, son of actor Ryan O�Neal and the late Farrah Fawcett, was charged of illegal possession of heroine and marijuana and violating probation.
He got arrested after a Santa Monica police officer stopped him for a traffic violation at Lincoln and Olympic boulevards after he ran a red light and discovered drugs in his car on Tuesday at about 8:15 a.m.
The 26-year-old now faces charges on red light infraction, violating felony drug probation and possession of a controlled substance. He's now is jail without bail pending court order.
O�Neal has battled addiction since his teens and has been in and out of jail and rehabilitation centers for crimes related to substance abuse.
