Broadcast journalist Anthony Taberna joins Studio 23 as the Kabarka network's anchor for its new primetime nightly newscast "iBA-BALITA" starting Monday, October 4, at 9 PM.
Deviating from the traditional newscasts, "iBA-BALITA" aims to dissect and analyze the hottest issues facing the country today with reports from ABS-CBN News, DZMM correspondents, and credible subject matter experts.
�iBA-BALITA� seeks to explain why stories made it to the headlines and why is it relevant to every Filipino. The show aims to present news in a manner which the audience can easily comprehend, backed up with different points of views from the parties involved to enable viewers to see and understand the big picture.
Studio 23 Head March Ventosa said, �iBA-BALITA will prioritize depth over breadth. The news stories will not only be comprehensive and fair, but these will be explained by our multimedia journalists and subject matter experts so that viewers will be informed and empowered.�
Anthony is one of the most respected broadcast journalists who is known for his fierce and feisty commentary on DZMM's �Dos Por Dos� with Gerry Baja, which will now also be seen on Studio 23 on weekday mornings at 7:30 AM. He is also seen doing investigative reports on ABS-CBN in "XXX" with Julius Babalo and Pinky Webb, which will also be aired on Studio 23 every Thursday at 9:30 pm.
