Cirque du Soleil �Varekai� Circus Act in Manila Schedules and Ticket Prices


BDO Unibank, Inc. will co-present the staging of Canada�s world famous circus act Cirque du Soleil�s Varekai in Manila that will run from June 22 to July 24, 2011 at the Cirque�s Big Top Tent at Quirino Grandstand, Rizal Park in Manila.

Varekai,� (pronounced ver-ay-kie which means wherever in the Romany language of the gypsies), tells a captivating story that tells the adventures of a young man who descended from the sky into the world searching for a place or realm called Varekai and will feature 13 magical and heart-stopping acts to be performed by the 130-strong Cirque du Soleil.

Valued BDO clients will get the chance to enjoy the top-notch show during the �Special BDO Night.�

And throughout Varekai�s month-long run, special door prizes will be exclusively given to BDO customers.

Each show is a fusion of circus styles from around the world, with its own central theme and storyline. Over the years it has expanded, going from one show to 19 shows in over 271 cities on every continent except Antarctica.




According to Hoopla, Inc., the show's local promoter,the cast and crew of Cirque du Soleil represents 23 nationalities: Argentina, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Serbia, Spain, South Africa, Sweden, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United States.

Ticket prices cost P2,700 to P7,600. Tapis Rouge tickets (P8,500 to P10,500) are also available for those who want access to the VIP hospitality tent.

The Philippines is the third Asian country to host the show, following Taipei and Seoul.
