Marimar ended its reign as the country's no.1 primetime series for eight months with a grand wedding of its main characters: Sergio Santiba�es (Dingdong Dantes) and Marimar Perez/Bella Aldama (Marian Rivera).The wedding ceremony was shot in San Agustin Church in Intramuros Manila last March 10. It was officiated by Fr. Forres (played by Buboy Garovillo of Apo Hiking Society).
It was reported that GMA-7 spent millions on this star-studded ceremony following a live telecast of the reception in a two-hour grand finale Friday night, March 14.
